On February 19, Oak Harbor High School (OHHS) student leaders, including Tristan Griffith (12), Xavier Reid (11), Ripley Gray (11), Grace Zhao (10), and Sam Antonio (9), attended the Northwest Conference (NWC) Student Leadership InterHigh at Meridian High School. This event brought together student leaders from multiple schools for a day filled with workshops, presentations, and discussions designed to build connections and foster community among students and staff.

Student leaders from 12 different NWC schools took part in various activities, such as the "Meet the Pros" session, where they shared their own projects and initiatives. OHHS’s Tristan Griffith had the opportunity to present about Winter Wishes, a program at our high school that takes place during the last week before Winter Break. Through donations and ASB purchases, Winter Wishes gives every student the chance to receive a gift of their choice, promoting a sense of community and inclusion within the school.

Throughout the year, OHHS student leaders attend NWC and WESCO events to continue growing their leadership skills and connect with other schools. Next week, the student leadership group will head to the WESCO InterHigh Leadership Conference in Stanwood, where they will have another opportunity to learn and grow together.
