The Star Employee, Substitute, Volunteer or Community Partner of the Year awards recognize individual staff members and volunteers who demonstrate one or more of the Oak Harbor Public Schools Core Values: Academic Excellence, Inclusion & Belonging, and Collaboration. .

Each year employees are encouraged to nominate a colleague or community partner who has shown superior service to our schools this academic year.

Winners are selected by a committee consisting of peers, a parent/guardian, and celebrated in a suprise moment at their place of work. The winners are then recognized by the school board at the district office in June.
