Board policies are created by the School Board and serve as the overarching rules and regulations for the district. Many policies are required by state and federal laws. Others are designed to reflect the unique priorities and values of our community and our district specifically. Board procedures are created by the district administration in order to support the implementation of board policies.
Board policies and procedures are regularly updated in response to changes in the law, changing student and district needs, and recommendations from the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA), an organization that represents and supports all of the school boards in Washington State.
